Kelsey Group: Consumers, Click Fraud Will 'Compel' Pay-Per-Call Adoption

This is an interesting read, however at this point, I don't believe the major PPC networks will abandon a still highly profitable model. Especially if they were to agree to auditing by a major clearinghouse. Still, it may produce a multi-billion dollar cousin. Full Story at MediaPost.

Click Fraud Common Sense

Reprise Media has this informative post in which they say click fraud is unfairly emphasized when compared to traditional media scandals (newspaper circulation scandals, tv fact checking, etc.). The difference is that search marketing is all about the numbers, everything is track able and not based on bad formulas (newspaper circulations/pass-around factors, etc.) and the fact the you have many more individuals and small business people involved with their limited budgets.
